AMRITSAR: An Israeli tourist traveling to Attari border to watch the retreat ceremony was injured in a snatching incident in Amritsar, Punjab, on Wednesday night, according to police reports.
The incident took place while the tourist was riding in an autorickshaw, when three individuals on a motorcycle approached. They attempted to snatch the victim's fanny pack, causing the tourist to fall out of the vehicle and the snatchers managed to escape with the stolen bag.
“I drove with the guy in my hostel to see the borders. While we were driving, a motorcycle passed by and tried to steal my fanny pack. When they pulled it, I fell down during the drive and they managed to steal (the bag),” the victim said.
