A US C-17 military aircraft carrying 104 deported Indian migrants from San Antonio, Texas, has landed in Amritsar. Punjab authorities have made necessary arrangements for their arrival.

Security has been heightened at Amritsar airport as a US military aircraft carrying deported Indian immigrants has landed.

Around 20-25 Sumo cars, SUVs, and buses entered the cargo area of Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee Airport in preparation for the arrival of 104 deported Indian immigrants. These vehicles will transport the deportees upon arrival.

Deportees include individuals from Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh, with the highest numbers coming from Haryana, followed by Punjab.

Relatives of the deported Indians are expected to gather at the airport to receive them. However, sources indicate that even the families of the deportees remain unaware of the precise arrival details.

Amritsar airport director, deputy commissioner, commissioner of police, and CIF director held a high-level meeting ahead of the arrival of a US C-17 aircraft carrying 104 deported Indian immigrants.
