AMRITSAR: Five operatives of a terror module run by USA-based gangster Harpreet alias Happy who were planning target killings in
Punjab were arrested in a joint operation carried out by Punjab police and Central agencies on Monday.
Two foreign-made 9 mm pistols and ammunition is also recovered from their possession.

Gaurav Yadav informed that the gangster Harpreet Happy was in touch with Pak-based wanted terrorist Harwinder alias Rinda and USA-based wanted terrorist Goldy Brar.
Earlier on Sunday, police had busted a terror module being operated by Czech Republic (Czechia)-based Gurdev Singh alias Jaisal with the arrest of its three associates and recovery of three pistols along with ammunition from their possession from Tarn Taran.
Those arrested have been identified as Gurinder Singh, a resident of Lakhuwal, Amritsar, Gurpinder Singh alias Lahoria, Lovepreet Singh, Sukhmanpreet Singh alias Jeevan , all three residents of Ajnala, Amritsar, and Narinder Singh of Sundal Riali, Gurdaspur.
Yadav claimed that they had inputs that on the directions of Harwinder Rinda and Goldy Brar, Harpreet Happy was planning to target prominent political and socio-religious leaders in the state through his newly formed gang of criminal-minded people to disturb the peace and harmony.
Sharing preliminary investigation details, Sukhminder Singh Mann, Assistant Inspector General, States Special Operation Cell (SSOC) informed that the arrested persons had recently received a drone-delivered weapon consignment through the Indo-Pak border which was arranged by Harpreet Happy with the help of Harwinder Rinda adding that the alleged accused had also been receiving financial aid sent by Harpreet Happy through various channels. eom
