Punjab due to recent floods, Bollywood actor
Sonu Sood has opened a helpline to provide help to the flood-hit people.
Sonu Sood has offered assistance through the family supported Sood Charity Foundation.
During the Covid-induced lockdown, Sonu Sood had helped many in various ways. He arranged food, transportation, medication and much more for the affected people. Many a times, his team reached out to aggrieved people even before the government authorities could move in.
Sonu Sood put out a tweet informing about the assistance through the helpline.
“My beloved Punjab, my heart aches for you, as the floods wreak havoc on the land that raised me. I can’t bear to stand idly by. Punjab, you’ve given me so much, and now it’s time to give back. Sonu Sood belongs to Moga and a number of villages in the district situated near the course of surged Satluj river are affected by the recent floods.
