Preliminary reports from the police indicate that the fire created immediate chaos as employees rushed to evacuate the premises. Those who died reportedly sought refuge on the building's roof in an attempt to escape the spreading flames.

The victims have been identified as Rani, Sukhjit, Kulwinder Singh, and Gurbhej. Senior superintendent of police Satinder Singh, said that the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an inquiry will be initiated to determine the cause of the fire and establish responsibility.

To combat the fire, fifteen fire tenders were deployed, and the situation was exacerbated when approximately five hundred alcohol drums stored in the plant caught fire.

After successfully extinguishing the flames past midnight, the rescue operation commenced, and the bodies of the missing employees were recovered.

It's worth noting that the relatives of the deceased allowed the bodies to undergo post-mortem examination only after the factory management assured them of adequate compensation.
