PATIALA: The police in Ropar arrested two a father-son duo for their alleged involvement in the murder of a man.
The man was attacked with sharp-edged weapons on the night of September 7.
Dwarka Das alias Davinder of Adarsh Nagar was found dead near Gaushala Road in the city.
The police have recovered weapons used in the crime, a motorbike, mobile phones and other items from the possession of the accused.
SSP Viveksheel Soni, said that the probe was initiated immediately after collecting the evidence and registering the case under sections 302 (Murder), 34 (common intention) of IPC at Ropar city Police Station.
He said that separate police teams were formed to solve the case. He said various aspects were probed using scientific and technical methods after which it came to light that three persons were involved in the murder.
The police nabbed Sunil Kumar and his son Shivam, both residents of Shampura village while the third accused, a minor, was yet to be arrested.
The police said the both the accused confessed to the crime during interrogation.
