He started his march from the fire station near the assembly where the farmers of Amaravati greeted him and garlanded him for his support to the cause of Amaravati. He said that he would keep raising the questions in the assembly and also outside the assembly despite the government is uncomfortable to face him.
Kotamreddy said that he was ready to appreciate the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy if the pending grievances of his constituency were resolved.
However, Kotamreddy’s protest had earned the wrath of the assembly speaker Thammineni Seetharam. Speaker found fault with the legislator for taking protest route without taking proper method to raise the issues. He advised the legislator to raise the questions in a proper way to get them resolved. Irrigation minister Ambati Rambabu expressed anger at Kotamreddy for trying to defame the government.
“Kotamreddy is working for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. He is wantonly creating trouble in the House only to appease Naidu to grant the ticket,” fumed Ambati.
He said that Kotamreddy had conspired against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who encouraged him for over a decade. He said that they would not tolerate such behavior by the members.
Legislative affairs minister Buggana Rajendranath warned Kotamreddy of serious consequences if he did not mend his ways.
