Vice president Venkaiah Naidu visits veteran Jan Sangh leader Jupudi Yagnanarayana's house, recalls his bond with family

He met Yagnanarayana’s wife Hymavathi who treated him as his eldest son during his days in Jan Sangh and took her blessings. Hymavathi was in tears after seeing vice-president and hugged him with warmth. She said that Venkaiah rose to the level of vice-president with his sheer dedication and commitment to the party work. “I am proud that Venkaiah Naidu who attended several of my meetings as a dedicated party worker in those days, had become vice-president," said octogenarian

Venkaiah recalled his association with Jupudi family since his student days. He said that Hymavathi used to personally serve him food whenever he visited their house. Yagnanarayana’s son and senior BJP leader Jupudi Rangaraju said that it was his father he issued B-form to Venkaiah Naidu to contest his first election as BJP candidate from Udayagiri constituency in Nellore.

He wished Venkaiah Naidu to become President of India in future. Venkaiah Naidu paid floral tributes to late Yagnanarayana and interacted with the family members. Rangaraju’s wife Padmavati, son Yagna Dattu felicitated vice-president. Dr Mannava Radhakrishna Murthy, Majeti Mutyalu, Vanama Purnachandra Rao, Velagaleti Gangadhar and several BJP leaders were present.
