TIRUPATI: Two youngsters including a girl student were killed in a road mishap reported along the Nayudupet-Puthalapattu highway near P Kothakota in Chittoor district on Friday.
According to Puthalapattu CI Sudarshan Prasad, a Tirupati resident identified as Punith and a girl studying at a private college at Chittoor who were speeding on a bike on the national highway, rammed into a stationary bus near P Kothakota.
While the girl student died on the spot, Punith died while being shifted to the hospital. Local police registered a case and are further investigating.
Meanwhile, about 24 farm labourers met with a road accident after a speeding truck rammed into their auto near the Srisailam ghat road on Friday. All the injured were rushed to the govt hospital at Dornala. The condition of six persons was said to be critical.
