TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's Pedda Jeeyar Swamy who tested positive for Covid-19 with only mild symptoms a couple of days ago, was discharged from Sri Padmavathi state Covid hospital at Sri Venkateswara institute of medical sciences premises and was moved to home quarantine at Sri Pedda Jeeyar mutt on Sunday.
Doctors treating the 70-year-old Sri Satagopa Ramanuja Pedda Jeeyar Swamy said His condition was stable and that he was showing improvement and there was absolutely nothing to worry about his condition.
HH Pedda Jeeyar Swamy appealed to the millions of devotees of Lord Venkateswara worldwide through his doctors and disciples, not to believe any rumours about his health condition, which is being circulated in the social media.
Following reports in some section of the media that the Jeeyar's condition had deteriorated and that he was being moved to Chennai for better medical attention, TTD's Pedda Jeeyar Swamy clarified that because he has only mild symptoms of Covid-19, he will continue to remain in strict home isolation at Sri Pedda Jeeyar mutt in Tirupati under the observation of his personal doctors.
''I'm not being shifted to Chennai for medical care. I'm absolutely alright and will remain under home isolation at the Pedda Jeeyar mutt until I completely recover from the novel coronavirus. My prayers will continue and I'm confident that Lord Venkateswara will soon relieve humanity from the pains inflicted by the novel virus globally'', TTD's Pedda Jeeyar Swamy stated to the public through his deputies.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed concern over TTD's Pedda Jeeyar Swamy getting infected by the novel coronavirus. Naidu wished Pedda Jeeyar Swamy will recover soon and re-dedicate himself to the service of Lord Venkateswara.
