The VIP Darshan system launched by the TTD about three years ago has emerged as a popular darshan format among the devotees which is evident from the fact that the Srivani trust received Rs 650 crore in the form of donations from the devotees within just three years after its launch.

The TTD launched this trust with an aim to extend support for the renovation of ancient temples as well as for the construction of new temples aimed at spearheading the propagation of the Hindu Sanathana Dharma and the glory of Lord Venkateswara.

In the run up to the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival, TTD all of a sudden suspended the issuance of Srivani trust linked darshan tickets under the current booking mode at Tirumala and first shifted the counters to Tirupati.

Later the temple trust allocated an online quota for the Srivani trust tickets and also set aside a special quota for air flyers to Tirupati.

However following frequent appeals from the devotees to resume the issuance of Srivani trust linked VIP Darshan tickets under current booking mode at Tirumala, the temple trust resumed back the system on Wednesday.

TTD sources said devotees should directly approach the designated Srivani trust counters to extend donations and avail VIP Darshan tickets without having to approach any middlemen or touts.
