Tirupati police recover stolen, lost mobile phones worth Rs 1.08 crore

TIRUPATI: Tirupati police have recovered 600 stolen and lost mobile phones worth around Rs 1.08 crore in the past two months.


Tirupati SP P Parameswara Reddy told reporters on Thursday that the mobile recovery drive has been yielding satisfactory results.

The SP noted that the people who lost their mobile phones can register their complaint in a hassle-free manner at the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) and get their mobile phones recovered in quick time.

He observed that the district police wing had so far recovered 2,230 stolen and lost mobile phones worth approximately Rs 4.01 crore in about six special drives carried out until now.
