Chittoor

and Kadapa districts on Wednesday. Police recovered 17 stolen bikes worth approximately Rs. 11 lakh from the possession of the accused.

Briefing reporters on the property recovery, Tirupati SP

Avula Ramesh Reddy

stated that

campus police probing a motorcycle theft case arrested S Dinesh (18), S Vamsi (17), K Purushotham Reddy (22), S Chandra (20), Saava Vamsi (19) and Pazhani Vikram (17), all residents of Tirupati and Chittoor district.

The gang of youngsters including the two minors who were addicted to various vices got into the act of stealing bikes for a while now.

SP Ramesh Reddy noted that the as many as 17 cases were registered against this gang at SVU campus police station, MR Palli, Tirupati east, Tiruchanoor, RC Puram, Renigunta, Madanapalli in Chittoor district and Railway Kodur in Kadapa district.

Tirupati SP appreciated the efforts put in by SVU campus police inspector N Ravindranath and team to nab the gang of youngsters behind as many as 17 cases. Later, SP handed over cash rewards to the police personnel for the arrests and the recovery made in the case.
