NELLORE: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Tuesday lashed out at Andhra Pradesh chief minister
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after completing his 2000km-long padayatra.
Lokesh said that the chief minister was a fake leader, highlighting that his education, political party, and promises were all deceitful, and the entire administration was built on falsehoods.
He criticised Jagan for failing to fulfill his promise of abolishing the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), thereby betraying the employees.
Lokesh also mentioned that Jagan had misled women by not implementing total prohibition, as promised prior to the elections.
Party leaders and supporters celebrated the occasion by bursting crackers, while slogans of "Jail Lokesh" and "Jai Chandrababu" echoed throughout the village. Numerous senior leaders and hundreds of activists from across the state gathered in the village to participate in this grand event.
Lokesh initiated his padayatra from Kuppam on January 27 and completed the 2000-km journey in approximately 150 days. To commemorate this milestone, Lokesh unveiled a pylon. TDP supremo and Lokesh's father, Chandrababu Naidu, expressed his joy at his son's successful completion of the 2000-km padayatra. Naidu took to Twitter to express his pride, stating, "Nara Lokesh completes 2000 kms milestone@ Yuvagalam padayatra. The TDP general secretary began his 400 days-4000 kms Yuvagalam padayatra at Kuppam on January 27." He also mentioned that Lokesh had reached the halfway mark of his statewide padayatra, during which he listened to and understood the problems faced by a multitude of people across the state.
To mark the occasion, Lokesh held a Rachabanda (public gathering) with the villagers and shared his views. Addressing the locals, Lokesh criticized Chandrababu Naidu, referring to him as the "Jaganora" virus that had infected the state. He accused Naidu of pretending to be a champion of development while portraying Jagan Mohan Reddy as a symbol of imprisonment. Lokesh claimed that Naidu, despite facing a deficit budget, had implemented several welfare schemes in the state, such as Chandranna Beema, NTR canteens, Ambedkar Videshi Vidya, and others.
During the event, senior leaders such as Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Alapati Rajendraprasad, Beeda Ravichandra Yadav, and others were present.
Lokesh distributed tricycles to physically disabled individuals and promised the local fishermen to establish a fisheries development board office to assist them.
