Supreme Court judge Justice PS Narasimha to be chief guest at Vignan university conovation
GUNTUR: Vignan's University is set to hold its 12th convocation ceremony on Saturday, August 24, said the University Vice-Chancellor Prof P Nagabhushan here on Saturday. Supreme Court Judge Justice Pamidighantam Shri Narasimha will attend the convocation as the Chief Guest. Industrialists Dotineni Seshagiri Rao, Mullapudi Lokeshwara Rao, and Saluri Koteswara Rao (Koti) as guests of honor.
Prof P Nagabhushan revealed that during the 12th convocation, over 1526 students will receive their degrees. Moreover, 26 students who have excelled in their respective branches will be honored with gold medals. The ceremony will also feature the presentation of various awards, including the Best Outgoing Student Medal, Endowment Awards, Chairman's Gold Medal for All-Round Excellence, Best NSS, NCC, Social Engagement Award, and Best Leader Medals. Students who have showcased exceptional talent in different areas will also receive special awards.
As part of the convocation, Vignan's University will bestow Honorary Doctorates upon three eminent individuals in recognition of their significant contributions and efforts in their respective fields. The recipients include Dotineni Seshagiri Rao, Founder and Chairman of SEC Industries, Hyderabad; Mullapudi Lokeshwara Rao, Founder of Lokesh Machines, Hyderabad; and Saluri Koteswara Rao (Koti), an acclaimed Indian Composer and Singer.
The convocation ceremony on August 24 will be attended by Dr. Lavu Rathaiah, Chairman and Chancellor of Vignan Institutions; Vice Chairman and MP, Lavu Srikrishnadevarayalu; Vice-Chancellor Prof. P. Nagabhushan; Registrar Dr. M.S. Raghunathan; members of the Executive Council and Academic Council; Deans; Heads of Departments; students; and parents.
