Special mandalabhishekam pujas
were performed on Wednesday at
Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple
at Dokiparru village of Gudlavalleru mandal in Krishna district.
The
temple trustees
PV Krishna Reddy and Sudha Reddy consecrated the idols in the temple located right opposite the Sri Bhusametha Venkateswara Swamy temple in the village exactly 40 days ago. The locals and temple committee had been regularly performing the pujas as per the rituals for the past 40 days. The temple committee organized
mandalabhishem
on the completion of 40 days of consecration of idols as per the advice of the priests.
The temple committee chairpersons P Veera Reddy, Vijayalakshmi couple, Kommareddi Bapireddy and Vijayabhaskaramma couple held the pujas including Sahasra Kalasabhishekam, Maha Santhi Yagam and Sahasra Namarchana. Hundreds of devotees turned up at the temple to take part in the special rituals.
Temple priests explained that mandalabhishekam would help seek mercy from the God for the known and unknown mistakes committed while performing the pujas in the last 40 days. They said that the special prayers were aimed at seeking well being of people. They said that they would perform
Sani dosha nivarana pujas
in the temple on every Saturday and distribute Raksha Kankanam to the devotees. They said that special prasadam would be distributed on Saturdays and consumption of prasadam would help devotees overcome all kinds of ill effects of Shani. The temple committee had also said that special pujas would be performed for vehicles on every Tuesday in the temple.
