TIRUMALA: Six people were injured after a jeep rammed into an oncoming bus at
Tirumala Hills
on Saturday. The devotees from Mysore took the jeep to visit places in and around Tirumala. The incident happened while theywere returning from
Papavinasanam
to Tirumala.
While negotiating a steep curve, the
speeding jeep
driver lost control over the vehicle and crossed over into the opposite lane. He did not observed the bus coming in the opposite direction and rammed into the bus. The jeep was carrying ten people at the time of the incident. Those sitting in the back escaped with minor injuries.
The cops rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to
Aswini Hospital.
Later, three of the severely injured were shifted to
Tuia Hospital
in Tirupati for better treatment.
Police have registered a case against the jeep driver for rash and negligent driving.
