Nama Buchicharaju, a dairy farmer at B Kothatore Road, found one of his cows missing on Sunday early morning. The cow, which is three-month pregnant, was later found tied to a toddy tree nearby. Buchicharaju also spotted blood oozing out of the animal's genitals. | Read this in Telugu

A local veterinarian, who conducted tests to the cow, has confirmed that the cow was sexually assaulted.

As soon as the news spread in the area, the locals thronged the police station and demanded arrest of the accused. The protesters were pacified after police lodged the complaint and assured them of swift action against the accused involved in the crime.
