Top IT companies, including Wipro and Tech Mahindra, along with several non-IT companies, participated in the job mela. They extended job opportunities to eligible candidates after a formal round of interviews held at the VPR Convention Centre in Nellore.

The VPR Foundation was founded by Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and his wife, Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the mega job mela, the Nellore MP stated that the VPR Foundation set a target of providing jobs to at least 10,000 unemployed youth in the Nellore district within a year.

"We want to contribute to the promise of chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu of giving 20 lakh jobs in a span of five years once the TDP-led NDA govt is voted to power in Andhra Pradesh," Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy asserted.

The organisers stated that more such mega job melas will be organised in Nellore in the next few months to provide more jobs to the unemployed youth of the district.
