TIRUPATI: With the next general elections in the state of
Andhra Pradesh less than a year from now, more than a hundred Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists joined the ruling YSRCP in the presence of Srikalahasti legislator Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy at Yerpedu mandal in Tirupati district on Sunday.
The TDP activists who switched their loyalties to the YSRCP hailed the numerous welfare schemes launched by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during the last four years.
Srikalahasti MLA Madhusudhan Reddy predicted that the TDP, which has completely lost the confidence of the people, may not even get the principal opposition party status after the next elections as the YSRCP under the leadership of YS Jagan was aiming to win 175 of 175 assembly seats in the 2024 general elections.
"People below the poverty line and almost all sections of the society have benefited immensely through the Navaratnalu flagship programme launched by the YSRCP and the outreach has reached saturation levels in the state like never before", Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy observed and exuded confidence that the YSRCP would sweep the next general elections in the state.
