Lord Balaji temple in Jharkhand soon

TIRUPATI: Hindu devotees in Jharkhand will soon get to frequent a Tirupati Balaji temple in their own state as the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust has resolved to construct a replica of the temple in Jharkhand.

Soon after the trust board meeting held at Tirumala on Tuesday, chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy said that the government of Jharkhand approached AP chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with a plea to establish a Lord Balaji temple in their state.

Their government also expressed inclination to allocate 100 acres of land for the temple's construction at Devgarh, which also has shrines of Shri Vaidyanatha, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, and also a Shakti Peedam.

With CM Jagan's directions, the TTD trust board resolved to construct the replica temple of Lord Venkateswara at the site earmarked by the Jharkhand government.

The trust board said that they will soon complete all the administrative formalities related to the new proposal.

TTD, which has established temples at Jammu, Rishikesh, Delhi, Mumbai, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha etc, plans to establish at least one replica temple of Lord Balaji in every state and union territories across the country.
