Andhra Pradesh minister launches mega medical camp, cancer screening unit in Nellore's Mahimaluru

TIRUPATI: State Endowments minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy launched a mega medical camp at Mahimaluru, the native village of former DRDO Chief and Advisor to AP Govt G Satish Reddy, in Atmakur assembly constituency of Nellore district on Saturday.

Accompanied by Satish Reddy and Nellore District Collector O Anand, the minister launched a scanning centre and a mobile cancer screening unit set up by SVIMS. He, along with Satish Reddy and Collector Anand, inspected various sections of the camp and reviewed the medical services being provided to patients.

Anam urged women to utilise the mobile cancer screening tests provided by SVIMS, emphasising that early detection is key to preventing cancer risks. He also announced plans to introduce a mobile cancer screening bus in the district soon.

Later, the minister inaugurated a new CC road laid at a cost of Rs 74 lakh at Kotapadu village in Mahimaluru panchayat on Saturday.
