HYDERABAD: Intensifying his tirade against chief minister K

Chandrasekhar Rao

, Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy on Monday accused the CM of promoting Andhra Brahmins such as Chinna Jeeyar Swamy at the cost of those of the same community from the state.

Revanth said that an example of the App culture being implemented in the state is the change of the name of Yadagirigutta to Yadadri. According to him, in Telangana, the names of religious places usually end with `Konda' and `Gutta' whereas Chinna Jeeyar Swamy hailing from Rajahmundry in AP has renamed Yadagirigutta as Yadadri which is purely an Andhra nomenclature if one were to go by the existing names of popular religious places of worship such as Simhadri, Vedadri and Garudadri in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking at the Praja Poru programme held in Nirmal on Monday , the TDP leader said KCR first appointed Chinna Jeeyar Swamy as the advisor to the state government and thus in sulted the great religio us scholars from Telang ana at a time when there is no dearth of scholars in the state. Even the re development plan of Yadadri as a major religiouscum-tourism centre has been prepared by

Anand Sai

, one who worked with actor Pawan Kalyan, said Revanth.

The TDP leader also found fault with KCR for allotting three acres of land to dog lover Amala Akkineni in

Jubilee Hills

for the purpose of rearing her dogs while failing to construct double bed-room houses for the poor.
