TIRUPATI: Former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLC and Pulivendula constituency in-charge, M Ravindranath Reddy, widely known as B Tech Ravi, was reportedly arrested by Vallur police in YSR Kadapa district on Tuesday.
The arrest unfolded amidst heightened suspense, with family members and TDP district president R Srinivasulu Reddy confirming that B Tech Ravi was apprehended by plainclothes police personnel while en route from Pulivendula to Kadapa on Tuesday evening.
Despite being taken into custody and subsequently undergoing a medical examination at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, there was no official statement from the police department regarding the arrest as of late Tuesday night.
Sources indicate that Vallur police initiated the arrest based on charges of high-handed behavior towards police personnel during TDP national secretary Nara Lokesh's visit to Kadapa, preceding the launch of his Yuvagalam Yatra nearly ten months ago.
