TIRUPATI: The Chittoor district police wing arrested four accused in connection with two separate cases and seized large quantities of liquor and ganja from the possession of the accused on Friday.
Chittoor II town CI K Ulasayya and his team apprehended a local resident M Ansar (27) while he was trying to sell Karnataka state liquor at Chittoor.
Police seized 150 litres of liquor worth Rs.1.2 lakh and a bike belonging to the accused.
Meanwhile, in another incident, police arrested three persons identified as S Chandru (23), S Dileep (23) and G Ramakrishna (27) and seized 6 kgs of ganja worth approximately Rs.3 lakh from the possession of the accused near Chittoor outskirts on Friday.
