BJP chief accuses YSRCP of creating 35000 bogus votes in Tirupati assembly constituency
TIRUPATI: Bharatiya Janata party chief Daggubati Purandeswari accused the ruling YSRCP of creating 35000 bogus votes in Tirupati assembly constituency in a bid to undemocratically win the elections through the backdoor means.
Speaking to reporters in Tirupati on Thursday, Purandeswari said the BJP lodged a complaint with substantial evidence with the election commission of India on the matter and the ECI had already launched a detailed investigation into the allegations.
She exuded confidence that the ECI will crack the whip against all those involved in the bogus votes episode.
The BJP chief observed that there was extreme anger against the misgovernance of the YSRCP among all sections of the society. "People are eagerly awaiting for the elections to vote against the ruling party for its failure on all fronts. The situation is such in Andhra Pradesh that nobody is coming forward to invest in the state", she alleged.
Exuding confidence that the BJP will emerge stronger in the ensuing elections, Purandeswari promised that the BJP led NDA govt will extend its fullest cooperation for the development of Andhra Pradesh in the next term as well.
