Andhra Pradesh: TTD to facilitate Vaikunta Dwara darshan for 8 lakh devotees in Jan 2023

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is bracing up for the highly revered Vaikunta Ekadashi festival slated to be celebrated on a grand note on January 2nd, 2023.

While celebrating the Vaikunta Ekadasi and Dwadasi for two days in a calendar year has been the set convention in practice at the Tirumala temple for several decades, TTD recently stretched the Vaikunta Ekadashi celebrations to ten days in a year in order to facilitate the Vaikunta Dwara darshan to as many common devotees as possible.

TTD EO AV Dharma Reddy who took part in the dial your EO programme, later held a review meeting on Vaikunta Ekadashi arrangements with the Devasthanams officials on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters later, AV Dharma Reddy said that the temple body has decided to cancel all VIP and privilege darshans during the 10 day period starting from January 2nd in view of the Vaikunta Ekadashi.

"Everyday about 80000 devotees will be allowed for worship at Tirumala during this period. Devotees can book Srivani VIP break darshan tickets in online. Tirumala locals will have dedicated darshan tokens counter at Tirumala", TTD EO added.

Meanwhile, Telangana Governor Tamizhisai Sounderrajan worshipped at the Tirumala temple in the early hours on Saturday.
