GUNTUR: Gurazala legislator Kasu Mahesh Reddy has said that the Andhra Pradesh government is in no way connected with the liquor seized from the TDP activists in his constituency. Speaking to the media in Guntur on Friday, Reddy said that TDP has no moral right to seek votes in Gurazala and Dachepalli municipalities as they have tried to stall the elections till the last hour. “We have upgraded the small towns as municipalities in order to develop them as model towns. TDP had not only ignored the region but also stalled the development by stalling the municipal elections for about six months. How could TDP leaders seek votes in my constituency,” asked Mahesh Reddy. He strongly objected to the remarks of the TDP leaders during the campaign. He said that YSRCP would surely win both Gurazala and Dachepalli towns in the upcoming elections. He said that there was no truth in the TDP’s baseless allegations against the YSRCP and the local officials. He said that they were confident of winning the elections based on their performance unlike the TDP. He said that it was not fair on the part of TDP leaders to target the officials without any facts. He said that their candidates would emerge victorious based on the performance of the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
