filed their nominations for
Rajya Sabha elections
on Wednesday.
Deputy chief ministers Amzad Basha, Narayana Swamy, ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, Botcha Satyanarayana, Jogi Ramesh, Merugu Nagarjuna, chief whip in the assembly Mudunuri Prasada Raju and state government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy accompanied the nominees.
YSRC candidates
handed over nomination papers to assembly deputy secretary and returning officer Subbareddy. They also handed over B-forms and security deposit along with the papers to the returning officer.
Speaking to the media, Vijayasai Reddy said that they would work to protect the interests of the state. He said that they would not hesitate to question the policies of the Centre if they were against the interests of the state and its people. "We have our own strategy to fight against the Centre. We will not hesitate to wage war against the Centre when its policies are against the interests of the state. At the same time, we will not fight on all issues that are irrelevant to them," said Vijayasai.
BC leader R Krishnaiah said backward classes communities are saluting Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for his decision to empower weaker sections.
