TIRUPATI: Chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Saturday conducted an aerial survey of Chittoor-Kadapa-Nellore districts which have been ravaged by incessant rains and floods triggered by a series of depressions in the Bay of Bengal over the last fortnight.

YS Jaganmohan Reddy was accompanied by state home minister M Sucharita and panchayat raj minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy during the aerial survey.

Special officers appointed to Kadapa-Chittoor-Nellore districts by the state government to oversee the flood situation briefed the chief minister about the extent of crop loss, property loss and loss of life.

YS Jagan advised the district collectors to speed up rescue and rehabilitation works across the flood-affected areas in all the four districts of the Rayalaseema region as well as

Nellore

district which have been ravaged by the non-stop rains coupled with floods.
