AP Cabinet 2019: 25 ministers inducted into Jaganmohan Reddy's Cabinet

* Cherukuvada Sriranganatha Raju from West Godavari district sworn in as minister.

* Taneti Vanita, MLA from Kovuru, a SC reserved constituency, takes oath as minister.

* Muthamshetti Srinivas Rao aka Avanti Srinivas sworn in as Cabinet minister. Being an MP, Srinivas defected from TDP just before elections and won assembly polls from Bhimili constituency

* Kurasala Kannababu, a scribe-turned-politician, inducted in Jagan’s Cabinet.

* Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose takes oath. Bose is an MLC. He is one of the early supporters of Jagan in Congress party after demise of YS Rajasekhar Reddy.

On Saturday, chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy assumed his office in the first block of AP secretariat at Velagapudi.

The new cabinet consists of eight minsters from the Backward Classes, five from the Scheduled Caste community, four each from the Reddy and Kapu communities and one each from the Scheduled Tribe, Kamma, Kshatriya and Vysya community. The new cabinet will have five deputy CMs, each representing the SC, ST, BC, Kapu and minority communities.

Jaganmohan Reddy has tried to avoid caste tags for his cabinet and has limited the representation of Reddy MLAs to just four seats. The party’s BC declaration is clearly visible in the composition of the new cabinet as the YSR Congress chief has given the highest number of seats in the cabinet to the BCs, which will also have one deputy chief minister from amongst them.
