TIRUPATI: Despite the Covid-19 induced economic slowdown, donations are pouring in for the richest Hindu temples body in the world as ardent devotees of Lord Venkateswara continue to donate rich benefactions to their beloved deity in the form of gold, cash and other valuables.
In a latest one such donation, an anonymous devotee who did not want himself to be identified has donated Kati-Varadha Hasthams made of gold and studded with diamonds and rubies to be adorned to Lord Venkateswara at the Tirumala temple.
The jewels weighing 5.3kg and worth approximately Rs 3 crore were handed over to
TTD's additional EO AV Dharma Reddy by the devotee inside the Tirumala temple on Friday.
Meanwhile, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board meeting is slated to be held under the chairmanship of YV Subba Reddy at Annamayya Bhavan at Tirumala on Saturday. Several key resolutions are likely to be passed during the quarterly trust board meeting.
