Andhra Pradesh: 30-year-old woman employee with RWS department dies under mysterious circumstances

TIRUPATI: A 30-year-old housewife, working with the rural water supply (RWS) department at Nellore, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence at Naidupet in Tirupati district on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as T Hemalatha. Naidupet sub-inspector Krishna Reddy told reporters that Hemalatha was married to one Ramesh about five years ago and the couple were residing at Sriram Nagar locality at Naidupet.
On Thursday morning, Hemalatha's husband Ramesh approached the police, claiming that his wife had committed suicide by hanging herself at their residence.
By the time the police reached there, the deceased's parents who were present there expressed doubts over their daughter's death and pointed out to the police that there were some injuries found on her body.
Naidupet police who examined the injuries, shifted the body of the deceased for postmortem and based on a complaint given by the deceased's brother Vinod Kumar, police registered a suspicious death case and took Hemalatha's husband Ramesh into custody for questioning.
