TIRUPATI: A 19-year-old girl landed herself in trouble and in the police net for triggering a series of fire incidents at Sanbatla village recently.
"After the developments at the village drew the attention of the local police, a thorough investigation was launched in order to get to the bottom of the facts", said Tirupati additional SP J Venkata Rao
Rao also lauded the Chandragiri police for unraveling the mystery behind a series of fires.

During the course of the investigation, the police found out that 19-year-old girl P Keerthy Reddy, who failed in her intermediate examinations, was disgruntled with her mother's behavior, and hatched a plan to teach her a lesson so that her family decides to permanently move out of the village.
The girl first triggered off a fire accident at her own house and created panic in her own family.
Later, she set afire the belongings at a house in the neighborhood, causing panic among the locals. Similarly, she was responsible for about 18 freak fire accidents at Sanambatla village recently.
The police have been detained by the police. She has been booked under IPC 435 and 506 sections. Police have also recovered Rs 30,000 from her.
