Workshop on NREGA

ALLAHABAD: A two-day workshop on National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) will be held at Allahabad University from Saturday.
The workshop titled `NREGA: Recent evidence, unresolved issues and possible innovations', would be held on March 6 and 7. It would be a joint initiative of the planning and development unit of the department of economics and GB Pant Social Science Institute.
Honorary professor at Allahabad University Jean Dreze, Abhijit Sen, member, Planning Commission, Mihir Shah, member, Central Employment Guarantee Council, BK Sinha, secretary, ministry of rural development, Aruna Roy of Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan and others will attend the workshop.
