Tussle between kanwariyas and shopkeeper

Prayagraj: Panic gripped Lalganj and adjoining areas under the limits of Lalganj police station of Pratapgarh district on Monday after a group of kanwariyas and shopkeeper were at loggerheads over collision of vehicle issue. The dispute started when a group of kanwariyas were returning from Ghuisarnath dham after offering jalabhishek to Lord Shiva on the occasion of first somvar of shravan month by an auto and the auto carrying them collided with a bike belonging to a shopkeeper near Lalganj- Ghuisarnath dham route. The tussle between Kanwariyas and shopkeepers caused a road blockade like situation for more than half an hour. The bike owner was allegedly chased and roughed up by the agitated kanwariyas. Upon being alerted, a team of Lalganj police rushed the spot and pacified the agitated kanwariyas and shop keepers.
