Experience divinity of Tirupati at Kumbh

Prayagraj: Devotees visiting the Maha Kumbh-2025 will be able to get darshan of the golden idols of Balaji and his wife Padmavati, a replica of the idols placed in the Lord Balaji temple of Tirupati temple on Tirumala mountain in Andhra Pradesh.The pure gold replicas of these two idols are being crafted by experts. A camp will be set up in Sector 6 by the Tirupati Balaji Trust, where a replica of the eight-foot statue of Balaji will be displayed along with the replicas of the golden idols of Lord Balaji and Padmavati. In 2013 also, both the idols were brought at Kumbh mela ground. The idols, being crafted by artisans from Andhra Pradesh (AP), will be brought to the camp by trust officials by Jan 10, prior to the formal commencement of Maha Kumbh. Tirumala Tirupati Dharma Sangh convenor and former corporator Rajesh Srivastava said that the work of making a replica of the Balaji temple, along with all the jewellery and other related materials, will be carried out by these artisans. After completioin all the material will be transported to the fair area from Tirupati by trucks.A palanquin procession of both the golden idols will be taken out during the fair, except on the major bathing days. The procession will pass through Sangam Darshan, Akshayvat Darshan, and the Hanuman temple complex. During Maha Kumbh, devotees will be able to offer prayers and worship the idols placed in a temporary replica of the Titrupati temple in Sector 6. For the security of the golden idols, barricading will be placed around the temple to be built in the camp.
