ALLAHABAD: Unidentified thieves decamped with ornaments, cash and valuables worth a lakh from a house in Madhuvan Vihar colony under the Dhoomanganj police station on Monday night.
According to reports, Amit Sinha was asleep in his house when the thieves entered the house and decamped with ornaments worth Rs 50,000, Rs 5,000 in cash, two cameras, two gold and 11 silver coins besides other valuables.

Incidentally, the house owner could not get a whiff of the happening and came to know of the theft only in the morning after which the police were called in.
Neither any arrest nor recovery against the FIR lodged was reported while the police informed that investigations were on and the suspects would be rounded up to gather clues.
