ALLAHABAD: The audience got an opportunity to immerse in the soul stirring Sufi songs rendered by the famous Wadali brothers on Monday night in Triveni Mahotsav. People also enjoyed the Hindi poems recited during Akhil Bharatiya Kavi Sammelan.
It was very difficult to control the people when Wadali brothers presented the famous Sufi number — Chhap tilak sab chhini re, tose naina milaike, baat ajab kah deni mose naine milake.

The whole audience clapped when the famous number — Dama dam Mast Qalander, Sindri da Sewan da, Sakhi Shahbaz Qalandar, ali da Pehla number was presented. The people immensely enjoyed the lines composed by the famous Sufi exponent Amir Khusrau.
Wadali brothers initially presented the song — Tujhe takia to laga mujhe aise jise meri eid ho gayi. Agftet that they Aaj ki baat phir nahin hogi, ye mulaqat phir nahi hogi, aise badal phir nahin ayegen, aisi barsat phir nahin hogi.
An all India poetic symposium was also organised on the occasion in which renowned Hindi poets of the country participated. Poets made caustic remark on the prevailing politics of the country and also made satirical comments on the present evils plaguing the society.
Shlesh Gautam highlighted the pathetic condition of the farmers. He recited Jo Sabka pet bharta hai, uski durdasha dekho, ye bharat desh ho gaya desh bukhe kisanon ka. Madan Samir said Jahan khualta khoon gira to tasveeron mein badal gaya, woh tasveeron ko dekh angrezon ka dil dahal gaya. Other poets who presented their creations included Tajwar Sultana, Dinesh Bawra, Preeta Vajpayee, Radhey Shayam Bharti and others.
