Students plan to wage decisive

The ongoing indefinite dharna by a section of student leaders at Allahabad University demanding restoration of students' union entered into its 42nd day on Thursday with the students resolving to wage a decisive battle against the varsity authorities and Central government. In this connection a meeting was also organised at the Union Hall where it was decided to stage a relay fast from Monday.

ALLAHABAD: The ongoing indefinite dharna by a section of student leaders at Allahabad University demanding restoration of students' union entered into its 42nd day on Thursday with the students resolving to wage a decisive battle against the varsity authorities and Central government. In this connection a meeting was also organised at the Union Hall where it was decided to stage a relay fast from Monday.

A student leader, Abhishek Yadav said that a meeting of students of deligacies and constituent colleges would also be organised to discuss the issue of importance of students union in universities. They also discussed the issue of inconvenience faced by students in obtaining books at university library.
Meanwhile activists of Samajwadi Chatra Sabha (SCS) on Thursday burnt an effigy of the Prime Minister to register their protest over rampant corruption at all levels including the Adarsh Society Scam, Commonwealth Games Scam and action against the guilty persons.
Addressing the gathering, president, SCS, university unit, Vikas Tiwari said that the party would wage a decisive battle to bring the guilty persons in various scams to book.
District secretary, SCS, Raghvendra Yadav said that perpetrators of the above scams should be sent to jail on charges of corruption.
