ALLAHABAD: Students' council of the Rajarshi Tandon Girls Degree College, a constituent college of Allahabad University, was formed on campus of college, on Saturday. The election was conducted by the teacher incharge of the student association committee, Dr Kaumudi Srivastava and Dr Neelima Singh.
The principal of the college, Dr Pramila Tandon said that students of the college were elected for four posts.
Babita Yadav was elected as president of the council whereas Shikha Pandey was elected as vice president. Likewise, Priti Yadav was elected on the post of Secretary, and Siraj Fatima was elected for the post of Joint Secretary for the student council.
The candidates were elected unopposed. The oath taking ceremony was conducted by the principal Dr Pramila Tandon. She said that the students have to understand that the voting right is the basis of all democratic organisations and countries. The elected candidates should be conscious of their duties and they should together maintain discipline and work for the progress of the college.
