Railway administration has decided to install CCTV cameras in its hospitals. These CCTVs will be installed at the North Central Railway Central Hospital in Allahabad and divisional hospitals at Kanpur and Tundla.

ALLAHABAD: Railway administration has decided to install CCTV cameras in its hospitals. These CCTVs will be installed at the North Central Railway Central Hospital in Allahabad and divisional hospitals at Kanpur and Tundla.
The decision comes after complaints from patients about delays in getting medicines from medicine counters at hospitals. Now, activities of pharmacists distributing medicines from their respective medicine counters would be monitored and vigil can be maintained on the activities of the hospital staff.

Hospitals have also come to be vulnerable as far as security is concerned. In addition to this, doctors can also monitor the activities of their staff taking care of the patients like nurses and the pathological staff. CCTV cameras would ensure the staff would remain alert.
An amount of Rs 14 lakh will be spent on the installation of CCTVs in railway hospitals. Chief public relations officer of North Central Railway Bijay Kumar said, “We have decided to install CCTV cameras in railway hospitals in Allahabad, Kanpur and Tundla. Now, doctors at the hospitals will be able to monitor the activities of their staff in the wards and OPD on the CCTV.”
