‘Shakti Rally’ taken out in Mahoba

Prayagraj: In a unique initiative, lady constables, women police officials along with school girls on Sunday took out a scooter rally named ‘Shakti Rally’ in Mahoba district as part of Mission Shakti Abhiyan. The participants were wearing special thematic T- shirts with tag line ‘Shakti Angel’ while taking out the rally across the district. Additional DG ( Prayagraj zone) Bhanu Bhaskar told TOI, “It was a unique initiative taken by the Superintendent of police (Mahoba) Aparna Gupta herself to take out Shakti rally.With powerful thematic songs, the rally crossed important crossings, inter sections and static points of Mahoba district where it was received and welcomed by residents of Mahoba with overwhelming enthusiasm amidst showering of flower petals. A cultural programme by school girls was presented at reserve police lines. Known women personalities of Mahoba were also felicitated on the occasion. TNN
