Senior officers inspect city police stations

ALLAHABAD: Senior police officials of the district including IG zone GL Meena, DIG L Ravi Kumar and SSP Naveen Arora on Thursday inspected 10 police stations and urged cops to focus on result-oriented performance.
They inspected Kotwali, Shahganj, Kareli, Kydganj, Mutthiganj, Attarsuiya, Civil Lines, Mahila Thana, Cantt and Khuldabad police stations.
The police brass checked the records at the police stations and enquired about cops behaviour from the complainants who had come to the police stations.
The purpose behind the visit was to know more about the topography of the areas including sensitive and critical and also to check the record maintenance status.
SSP Naveen Arora told TOI: "We have encouraged our personnel to work hard so that they can win public faith".
He added that cops posted at police stations have been asked to update their records including beat registers and ensure that every minute information is entered into registers.
