Revenue dept official shot at by 3 miscreants

Prayagraj: In a broad daylight incident, three unidentified bike-borne miscreants shot at an amin rank official in revenue department near Gothawa village in trans Ganga pocket here on Friday noon, police said.The injured Amin Ramakant Saroj of Bhadohi was admitted at SRN Hospital where his condition was said to be stable.He sustained injuries below the elbow region, said additional DCP (Ganga Nagar) Abhishek Kumar Agrawal.“The incident took place at around 12:30 pm when the amin was going for revenue collection. As per information received by police, a group of three unknown assailants on a bike opened fire Saroj,” he said. He added that the motive behind the incident was still unknown and a probe was on. Two police teams have been formed to ensure the arrest of the miscreants.TNN
