Rally on World Population Day

ALLAHABAD: A rally was taken out here on the occasion of World Population Day on Monday. Deputy chief medical officer Dr Kalim Akmal flagged off the rally.
The rally aimed at spreading awareness among masses regarding population control measures and to check population explosion in urban and rural areas. Officials of district health department and urban health initiative participated in the rally.The health workers were carrying placards and banners appealing masses to take steps to check population.
Dr Kalim Akmal urged couples to adopt family planning measures for their well being as well as that of the country.
