Prayagraj: In a major development, the Pratapgarh police claimed to have attached six properties worth Rs 1.73 crore of hardened criminal Sudhakar Singh, a resident of village Purbhai (Sultanpur) under the Gangster Act in different parts of the state.Additional DG (Prayagraj zone) Bhanu Bhaskar told TOI, “Pratapgarh police have attached a total of six properties belonging to gangster Sudhakar Singh at six different places including Lucknow, and Rai Bareilly under the Gangster act. ADG also claimed that Pratapgarh district police have also listed Sudhakar Singh’s gang under D -78. All the properties were accumulated through illegal means, said ADG.tnn

Police serve notice to attach properties of 3 Mukhtar aides

Police in Varanasi visited the homes of three close associates of jailed mafia don Mukhtar Ansari to serve notices of property attachment. The three individuals are wanted in a 1996 kidnapping case and have been accused in a recent murder case. They are members of Mukhtar Ansari's gang, and two of them have been on the run since 1996. The police have been targeting Mukhtar Ansari's family and gang members, who have reportedly caused losses of over Rs 1000 crore in illegal activities.

Gangster Dharmender Kirthal awarded 5 years jail under Gangsters Act

A court in Meerut has sentenced Dharmender Kirthal, a notorious criminal with over 50 cases including 10 murders, to five years in prison under the Gangsters Act. His associates, Satyender Mukhia and Subhash, have also received the same sentence. Kirthal had properties worth Rs 60 lakh seized and had evaded the police for over six months before being arrested in Dehradun. Despite his influence, witnesses were assured and provided security to testify against him.

Attachment of properties of 13 Pakistan-based terrorists set into motion in J&K's Kishtwar

A court in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district has declared 13 Pakistan-based terrorists as proclaimed offenders, allowing for the attachment of their properties if they fail to appear within 30 days. The terrorists were declared offenders after failing to respond to non-bailable warrants. Proclamation notices were served to their families in different parts of Kishtwar. If the terrorists do not surrender within the given time, proceedings to attach their properties will be initiated.
