Prepare master chart of ponds till July 20: DM

ALLAHABAD: District magistrate Raj Shekhar has given directions for preparing the master chart of the ponds till July 20 in the various tehsils after field verification. He has given instructions that the SDM/tehsildar concerned should go to the field themselves and make on the spot verification.
The district magistrate made it clear that there is no shortage of money for digging of the ponds and arrangements should be made to start the digging of ponds.He also instructed for carrying plantation drive around the pond and placement of tree-guards around the saplings.
The project incharge informed that about Rs two crore has already been received under MNREGA.
The district magistrate said they should visit ponds of their area and ensure site photography. He also stressed on the documentation of every pond including its present condition, area of pond, and also the status of encroachment and whether action has been taken against removing encroachment. They should also take the feedback from the villagers.
He also gave instructions that the tehsildar should make arrangements for checking the level of water in atleast two ponds of their areas and also prepare a report on this.
