Prayagraj: FIR lodged against two Samajwadi Party MPs
PRAYAGRAJ: Following large scale protest by the Samajwadi Party workers in the city on Tuesday, the district police has registered an FIR against SP supporters along with two of its MPs.
Around a dozen SP workers suffered injuries in the protest along with half a dozen policemen in the stone pelting by the SP workers. The violent agitators had also damaged around half a dozen vehicle and other public properties.
The named FIR has been lodged against 46 SP workers including party’s MP from Badaun Dharmendra Yadav and Phulpur MP, Nagendra Singh Patel.

Along with them, state president of the party Naresh Uttam, AU student union president, Uday Prakash Yadav, SP spokesperson and former president of AUSU Richa Singh, Abhishek Yadav, Avnish Yadav, Adil Hamza, Ajeet Yadav alias Vidhayak and several others have been named in the FIR.
Along with this, FIR has also been lodged against around 250 unidentified protesters.
On the statement given by inspector Colonelganj Satyendra Singh, who was also injured in the protest that occurred at Balson crossing of the city, the cases have been registered by Colonelganj police citing 19 clauses of the IPC including instigating the crowd, damaging public property, arson etc.
