P’garh police attaches properties of SP neta

Prayagraj: In a major development, Pratapgarh police on Tuesday attached the property of senior Samajwadi Party leader Chavinath Yadav, registered in the name of his wife, Priyanka Yadav, at house No 124\109 (around 210 square meters) in Nehru Nagar Coop Housing Scheme, Sadiabad, Uparhar, under the Sadar Block of Prayagraj district under Section 14 (1) of the Gangsters Act.The court of the district magistrate (Pratapgarh) had on Oct 23 ordered the attachment of properties worth over Rs 1.25 crore of Yadav under the Gangsters Act.SHO (Kunda) Avan Kumar Dixit told TOI that a total of 53 criminal cases were registered against him, including those of murder, attempt to murder, extortion, Gunda Act, Arms Act, Explosive Act, and Gangster Act. He was also placed under HS (History Sheeter ) list of 5A. Dixit further added that the mafia Chavinath's gang was also listed under D-41 category with Pratapgarh district police. Chavinath is currently lodged at Fatehgarh district jail.
